WiFi that reaches every corner of your home.

Tired of weak rooms and dropped video calls? We work out what is going wrong, then fit the right setup so your signal stays strong wherever you are.

Three steps to a home that stays connected.

Most WiFi trouble comes down to what equipment you have and where it sits. We look at both.

Home signal survey

We walk your home with test gear and map where the signal is strong and where it falls away. There is no charge for the site visit if you approve the job and go ahead with our recommendations. If you decide not to proceed, the assessment is charged at our standard rates for time and travel. We are happy to talk you through pricing when we confirm your appointment, so there are no surprises.

Good to know about WiFi at home.

A few reasons your signal may not be what it should be.

Why dead spots happen

Thick walls, extra floors and plain distance all weaken a signal. The further from the source, the weaker it gets.

More devices, more strain

Phones, TVs, laptops and smart gadgets all share the same airwaves. A busy household needs a setup built to cope.

The provider's router has limits

The box supplied with your internet plan is fine for a small space. Bigger or multi-level homes usually need more.

Sleepouts, sheds and decks

Outbuildings and outdoor spaces sit beyond most routers' reach, but they can be covered with the right planning.

Common questions.

What happens during a home survey?

A technician walks through your home, measures the signal in each room and works out why some areas are weak. You then get a clear explanation and a recommended fix.

Is there a charge for the home survey?

If you approve the job and go ahead with our recommendations, there is no charge for the site visit. If you decline the job, the assessment is charged at our standard rates for time and travel. We are happy to talk you through pricing when we confirm your appointment, so there are no surprises.

Is a plug-in extender worth buying?

It can help in small cases, but extenders often cut speed and leave gaps. In most homes, a planned layout of properly placed units gives a steadier result.

Will I need a different internet plan?

Often not. Many problems start inside the home rather than with the service itself, so better WiFi can make your current plan feel faster.

Can you cover a sleepout, garage or deck?

In most cases, yes. We plan for outbuildings and outdoor areas as part of the layout so you are not left with gaps.

How do I get a quote?

Send your address using the form on our contact page, or email hello@queenstownwifi.nz. We will arrange a visit and confirm a quote with you afterwards.
